Sadly, in today’s world of pitching ideas for movies people are not reading screenplays in hand anymore which may save paper and trees which I am ALL FOR – saving trees, yes. NOTE: we can send probes to Mars where nobody wants to live but smart hominids cannot create fake paper, therefore, saving millions of trees so as not to exploit their pulp? I digress. In truth, the idea of young studio interns sitting at their desks slogging through thousands of digitally submitted scripts is nightmarish. I long for the good ol’ days before the internet destroyed actual in hand readership of fictions.

READING nationwide today in spite of book retailers and especially human beings reading screenplays, is a fantasy. Who’s actually doing all the reading? Who really knows.
